Chatsworth and the Peak District
Chatsworth, the magnificent home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is set in the heart of the rolling hills and expansive moorland of the Peak District National Park. There are 30 spectacular rooms – including the Painted Hall and the regal State Rooms – to explore in the main house, and a 105-acre garden famous for its water features, sculptures and maze, with miles of path to wander. One of Europe’s premier art collections – the Devonshire Collection – is housed at Chatsworth, comprising works of art that span 4,000 years. Afterwards, head to the spa town of Buxton, famous for its thermal springs and bottled mineral water.
